Moves to remove a concrete wall at Barmera’s Lake Bonney have has been met with mixed responses.
The wall was once part of an early irrigation system, however has not been used for several decades and now sees structural concerns.
While many welcome the project to remove the structure, some online comment has called for the wall to be restored as a tourist attraction.

Council say they’ll work with the community to develop a display to demonstrate the irrigation system’s significance.
The removal of the structure is expected to start this week.
