Key worker housing progressing

Planning approvals have now been obtained for new key worker housing in Renmark.

Minister for housing and urban development Nick Champion outlined the progress this week, which falls under the Regional Key Worker Housing Scheme.

Five new houses are set to be built in Renmark, something the State Government say will help to address the critical need for affordable and accessible housing.

Minister Champion said “Where possible we are trying to use local companies, employing local trades to build these houses which will increase supply in the area”
