Time to go back to your happy place.
After nearly 30-years Happy Gilmore is returning to our screens with Happy Gilmore 2. Returning to the golf course to try and get the money needed to put his daughter through college, but it would appear he hasn’t kept up with the golfing over the last few years. Check out the trailer below!
The film sees many of its original cast return including Christopher McDonald, Ben Stiller, and Julie Bowen. But Julie Bowen seemed to think that when the sequel was announced for a return that she would not be one expected to return. When discussing the announcement of the sequel Bowen said:
“I thought, ‘Well I won’t be in it… And that was OK — it was like Virginia Venit, it’s been 30 years, he’s got a hottie. He’s got some little bitty on the side, like a cart girl,… As a matter of fact my children told me, before I was even told officially that there was a Happy Gilmore sequel, my now 18-year-old said, ‘Mom, I hear they’re doing a sequel and he’s with Sydney Sweeney as a cart girl.'”
But this thankfully was not the case and Bowen will be returning to the world of golf this year for Happy Gilmore 2.
