It’s hoped a wine industry meeting in Barmera later today can shape positive ideas to help the struggling sector.
Over half of the Riverland’s economy is driven by the wine industry, which currently faces an uncertain future – due in part to a mass oversupply of red wine grapes.
The meeting hosted by Riverland Wine at the Barmera Club will allow for a grower discussion session, with industry partners also on hand for a Q & A session.

Meanwhile a petition created last week by some local producers calling for government support has so far gathered nearly 400 signatures.
