New tough smoking laws have been proposed for the state that would see local smokers looking even further for places to smoke.
The state government has proposed to ban Smoking and vaping in more outdoor public places, including near schools, shopping centres, buildings and children’s sporting grounds.

Cigarette vending machines could also go the way of the dodo, and be resigned to the scrap metal pile.
Health minister, Chris Picton said they make no apologies for seeking to introduce tougher bans and penalties particularly where children are impacted.
