Riverland footy fans were treated to thrilling games in Round 10 over the weekend.
Loxton North and Renmark’s battle saw several lead changes with no side having the upper hand until very late in the game.
At one stage the Rovers led by 7 points at the final change – however a rampaging Loxton North unit spurred on by Ryan Proud playing his 300th game saw them slot 5 majors to overcome the current premiers and record a memorable win.
Final score 12.6-78 to Renmark 9-5-59.
Barmera-Monash recorded an impressive away win at Waikerie, just one point split the team at the final change, however a big final quarter saw the Roos win for the first time at Waikerie since 2015, Final score 5.9-39 to Waikerie 3.5-23
Berri and Loxton’s battle was goal for goal early – seeing 10 goals kicked in the first quarter.
Loxton’s power became evident however – running out winners by 75 points
