Subsequent investigations saw a 36-year-old Renmark man was arrested at Bower last Thursday, with the man charged with endangering life and possessing a prescription drug.

He was also charged with creating a false belief in relation to an unrelated incident that occurred in the days prior.

He’s been remanded in custody, with Police locating a firearm believed to be linked to the incident at Cooltong on Friday.

Investigations remain ongoing and further charges may be laid.

Police wish to reassure the community that this does not appear to be a random incident and there is no ongoing risk to public safety.
