6 of the 404 will be in the Riverland, all in Renmark, part of a $232.7 million investment across the state.
In terms of regional areas, Port Augusta, Whyalla and Mount Gambier sees the most amount of building activity, being 27 new builds for Port Augusta.
Human Services Minister, Nat Cook said they were delivering on a commitment to build new public housing where it is needed most, at a time when increasing the supply of these homes could not be more crucial. The state government also say they’re undertaking major renovations to 350 homes statewide.
