The threat of further strike action at Riverland schools appears now to be averted.
A union recommendation will be made that teachers accept the “improved” bargaining agreement, seeing a salary increase of 13-per-cent for teachers, over the life of the agreement.
Earlier this year some local schools were forced to close due to industrial action.

The improved deal for teachers is expected to see more ‘non-instructional time’ as well as a greater allowance for regional teachers.
