The Berri Barmera Council has now re-opened a number of tourist sites after floods last summer saw them off-limits.
Over 30 camp sites at Lake Bonney have now been remediated while Cobdogla’s Bruno bay boat ramp has also re-opened for river users.
The opening has been timely for the South Australian School Holidays and while Council say “There’s still work to do, they hope tourists and locals alike enjoy getting back on the river/lake, and enjoying all the Riverland has to offer”.
