A learner driver may need a refresher on the rules of the road, following a speeding and drink driving detection in Blanchetown.
Around 5.30pm Sunday, Police detected the learner driver driving on the Sturt Highway at 147km/h in a 110km/h zone at Blanchetown.
Patrols attempted to stop the car however it failed to stop until it was caught behind traffic.
The 23-year-old male driver from Ingle Farm, was breath tested and allegedly provided a positive result of 0.153.
He was reported for several traffic offences, including drink driving, failing to stop, driving in a manner dangerous, exceed the speed limit and breach his learner conditions.
On top of the car being impounded, the driver will also now be summonsed to attend the Berri Magistrates Court at a later date.
