Final push for dual lane petition

Close to 10,000 signatures have been collected as part of a petition to ensure a dual lane Truro Sturt Highway freight route is constructed.

While the project as a whole is now in doubt, Waikerie man Vin Dowd launched a petition, and has extended the closing date until late September.  

Should the 10,000 signatures be collected it would be referred to the “Legislative Review Committee”.

Local Federal MP, Tony Pasin has also launched a petition to save the project, with it now before a labor infrastructure spending review.
