Riverland Police have reported several drivers for drug and alcohol offences.
On Saturday Police in Loxton reported a 50-year-old woman from Renmark West after she was stopped on Bookpurnong Terrace. She was submitted to a drug test and allegedly returned a positive to methamphetamine and cannabis.
Then on Sunday Police reported a 54-year-old woman from Berri after she was stopped on the Old Sturt Highway in Berri. She allegedly returned a positive result to methamphetamine when submitted to a drug test.
Both drivers were issued with a 3 month loss of licence notices, and may be summoned to the Berri Magistrates Court pending results of further forensic analysis.
Police also reported a drink driver in Paruna, after they stopped a man driving on Railway Terrace.
The male driver aged in his 60’s allegedly produced a blood alcohol reading of 0.105. He was issued with a 6-month instant loss of licence and will be summoned to appear in the Berri Magistrates Court at a later date.
