Following two weeks of stellar performances the hard working team the Riverland Musical Society have bowed out for 2025.

The production of ‘Come From Away’ was well received by local audiences, with shows at the Chaffey Theatre seeing strong crowds.

Set in the immediate aftermath of the 9/11 attacks, the show captured the best of community after 7000 people were stranded in the small Canadian town of Gander, following 38 planes being forced to land.

Director, Narelle James praised this year’s musical team, saying the show was far more technical than some previous performances.

Ms James now hopes the performance can inspire further larger productions for the local musical society.

An announcement on next year’s production is expected to be known soon.
