A Riverland Council will now look for further savings in this year’s budget.
Renmark-Paringa Elected Members voted to lay the draft budget at this week’s meeting, and instructed council administration to look for was of easing the impact on rate payers.
While the budget had already seen several cuts, some rate payers have been highly critical of proposed rate increases.

This was expected to be over 11%, with further waste water charge increases also on the agenda.
A special meeting of council to review the findings is expected to be announced soon.
