Closed bridge up for Council discussion

Renmark Paringa Council elected members will discuss exploring the potential to re-open the 21st Street Bridge for pedestrians.

Following the Murray River flood event the bridge was deemed unfit for all traffic use, however council documents outline some are keen to see it open to foot traffic while a replacement structure is obtained.

Engineering assessments would be needed prior to re-opening for the reduced traffic load – with rough costings said to be around $15,000.
