There’s calls some Riverland bank branches should re-open from a local MP.
This week Westpac announced they would not proceed in closing 8 regional branches, with that news coming as the Regional Banking Enquiry continues.

This week, Local MP Tony Pasin said “In a period of record profitability for the Australian Banking sector, the decision to withdraw services from regional Australia is not only wrong, its unacceptable.”
He further outlined a number of towns he’d like to see banks re-open – including Renmark which has seen the Commenwealth Bank close it’s doors in recent times.
