Boomtimes for river wildlife

River Murray wildlife is said to be benefiting from increased spring River Murray flows.

The current flows together with Last summer’s flooding has seen a boom in bird breeding, together with stronger numbers of native fish.

The good conditions now don’t come without warnings however, with State Minister for the Environment Susan Close saying “With forecasts predicting a hot summer and below average rainfall, these releases will put the ecosystem in the best possible position for the upcoming conditions.
