Basin plan report confirming delays

The Mid Year Murray Darling Basin Plan report card has re-affirmed delays mentioned earlier this week.

Overseeing the first 6 months of this year, the report re-affirmed the water recovery initiative had implementation challenges including recent flooding.

Measurable improvements were noted however, including 5 NSW water resource plans have now being accredited.

Of the 36 Sustainable Diversion Limit Adjustment Mechanism projects the MBDA says 16 are unlikely to be in place prior to the basin plan deadline of June Next year.
