The Beckham family has been at odds for many years now, but Victoria and David haven’t been on speaking terms with their Brooklyn Beckham for over 15 months now. But the parents are now actively seeking to mend the rift and have offered to meet with their son Brooklyn in there presence of lawyers, therapists, his partners parents, siblings or some mediator.

After marrying his wife Nicola Peltz (their marriage being a major source of their family drama) Brooklyn changed his Brooklyn Peltz-Beckham. But it now seems that Brooklyn is seeking too fight for his name back, legally. Back in 2016, Victoria Beckham trademarked Brooklyn Beckhams full name for the sake of protecting him and ensuring no one could exploit his name for gain. “Victoria trademarked the Intellectual Property for his full name in 2016-17 in order to protect him, and ensure no one else could exploit his famous name… It certainly wasn’t a malicious thing, and the view was that Brooklyn could do with it what he wanted in adulthood… But from Brooklyn’s perspective, it was yet another example of control being displayed over him… He feels infantilised and just wants to claw back control over the most simple of things – his name… He is weighing up all his options but no decisions have been made yet.” – a source close to the Beckhams

The legal parameters in place currently means that if Brooklyn wanted to release anything under his own name, he would need the permission of his parents. As Brooklyn is seeking the rights to his own name his parents are pushing harder to come together to work out the problems.
