Mindarie-Halidon Race goers weren’t fazed by Yesterday’s warm weather, with crowd numbers hovering around 3000 for the annual event.
This year’s event was pushed back slightly from the usual September timeslot due to dry conditions over Winter and the track surface needing time to come up to standard.
The time honoured Mindarie Halidon cup saw last year’s winner “Bit Of A Rebel” go back to back, with the win, the first for Jockey Sophie Potter at the local track.

Following a small break, preparations for next year’s event are expected to commence shortly
