An American legend is coming down under!
Iconic American burger chain, Shake Shack, is finally making its way down under after 25-years of trade. The original chain started out as a hot dog cart inside Madison Square Park all the way back in 2001. What started as just a single hot dog cart in New York has grown and expanded across the world globally, and it’s finally on its way to Australia…. Kind of.
At the 2026 Australian Open a Shake Shack will be opening at the John Cain Arena from January 12th until February 1st. The pop-up will be available at the Topcourt and will be selling an exclusive Australian Open Shake.
So whilst it’s not opening a permanent full location here in Australia yet this is the first step in seeing them expand down here. We know have other popular brands across the globe coming here, we’ve already got a Five Guys now, why can’t Shake Shack be next?
