Major improvements for 4G and 5G connectivity could soon take place in the Riverland.
Telstra recently announced a $30M investment for regional South Australia, with one project listed to take place in Renmark.
Telstra Regional General Manager for South Australia Michael Patterson said the multi-million dollar funding would help deliver better coverage and performance in the state, now and into the future.
Mr Patterson added further “Customers near the upgraded sites should see and feel a difference with noticeable improvements to speeds and overall experience from this year especially while using their mobile in busy areas,”.
Some Riverland Public phones will also see Wi-Fi upgrades together with improved battery backup power as part efforts to keep communities connected during times of need.
