A recent gathering held in Renmark to voice council budget concern has seen a strong attendance.
Held Sunday and promoted by community advocate and Barker One Nation candidate Jenny Troeth many locals voiced their thoughts, which followed Council’s official public consultation session few days earlier.
While Sunday’s event was not in anyway an official Council event, a statement prepared by Council was heard outlining some elements of the proposed budget.

Proposed rate increases, costs associated with proposed property developments and increases to waste water charges were all discussed by those in attendance.
Key points were expected to be presented to Council prior to this week’s official meeting.
