Pooncarie Cup

 With a long and proud history, the Pooncarie Racing Club was established in 1891. The annual Pooncarie Cup meeting is an enjoyable and unique outback experience of country horse racing.

Come along & enjoy a fun day of horse racing with a six race program, including the Pooncarie Cup, catering & bar facilities, full on course tote & bookmaking  and fashions on the field. The township of Pooncarie is set on the banks of the Darling River making it a fantastic opportunity to bring the family along for a weekend of horse racing, camping and fishing.

Pooncarie is easily accessible on a sealed road 115km North- East of Wentworth NSW. Accommodation is available at the Pooncarie Telegraph Hotel Motel or there is plenty of fantastic camping spots along the river at the Pooncarie Multi Purpose Park (amenities available).
