Jennifer Garner is set to make her return as Elektra in the highly anticipated ‘Deadpool 3’ after a 20-year hiatus. Known for her role as the fierce sai-wielding assassin, Garner first portrayed Elektra in the 2003 film ‘Daredevil’, alongside her then-husband Ben Affleck as the Man Without Fear. Following the success of ‘Daredevil’, Garner starred in the standalone ‘Elektra’ movie in 2005. Although both films did not perform well at the box office, it is noteworthy that Garner was one of the few leading women in a comic book movie at that time.
Garner’s reprisal of Elektra in ‘Deadpool 3’ adds to the star-studded cast of the franchise led by Ryan Reynolds. Another notable return is Hugh Jackman, known for his portrayal of Wolverine in the X-Men movies. Jackman will be joining the third instalment of ‘Deadpool’, exciting fans with the return of the iconic slashing superhero.
What makes Garner’s return even more intriguing is her reunion with Reynolds and director Shawn Levy, with whom she previously collaborated on the Netflix film ‘The Adam Project’. In that film, Reynolds plays a futuristic fighter pilot named Adam Reed, while Garner portrays his mother in flashbacks. Now, they will team up once again for ‘Deadpool 3’.
Fans eagerly await the first look at Garner in her Elektra suit, as well as further details about the plot and additional characters. The anticipation for ‘Deadpool 3’ continues to build as production progresses, promising an entertaining and action-packed addition to the Marvel cinematic universe. ‘Deadpool 3’ coming 2024.
