A volunteer firefighter has captured the heartwarming moment he rescued a baby joey from the fires.
Sam McGlone, a travel filmmaker with more than 110,000 followers on Instagram, posted the video near the NSW town of Braidwood.
He has used his platform to urge people across the world to donate.
“Australia is on fire! 500 million animals have been killed. I saved this little baby kangaroo it was left by its self!” he captioned the video.
“This is heart breaking. 10 Million acres burned. Please spread. Please donate. We need your help!”
McGlone has set up a Go Fund Me campaign to raise money for injured wildlife, which has already garnered over $10,000.
