The RAA has released its “Best cars for 2019” and Lachie was excited to speak to Mark Borlace from the RAA about the findings.
The way we use cars is changing and more and more car brands are introducing hybrid and electric cars to the consumers.
Mr Borlace said “This annual award is designed to provide the outcome of extensive research in simple terms for buyers of new vehicles, from sports cars to city run-abouts and people movers,” Mr Borlace said.
“This year's assessment shows the new car market is greening, with hybrids winning two categories and two fully electric vehicles finishing as runners up, reflecting improvements in technology."
“The top rankings also show you don't need to spend top dollar to get a top performer in a category.”
The 2019 report shows Toyota was the best placed manufacturer, winning five of the categories, including the ever-popular Camry topping the small car priced under $35,000 category.
In total, the 13 categories were won by six Japanese cars, four Korean cars and three German cars.
