As Doctors across Regional South Australia look to retire, why are finding it heard to recruit young doctors

Dr Raphael Torome from Barmera Medical Clinic was among a number of GPs from rural South Australia recognised at the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) National Awards 2019 held recently. Christine Cook is CEO of GPEx, the organisation responsible for training GPs in South Australia, and she took some time to talk with Ian on 5RM.

In the convesation Ian suggests it is our right to see a doctor at anytime in any town, however this isn't the case as the process to get young doctors to regional areas like the Riverland isn't as easy as you think?
