Several Riverland towns have featured on the shortlist of towns for the SA Ag town of the year award.
Amoung the 70 nominations, local towns Berri, Loxton, Moorook, Renmark or Waikerie can all now be voted for to make the final five.
Now in its second year, The Agricultural Town of the Year Award, presented by the Department of Primary Industries and Regions (PIRSA) highlights the vital role that agriculture plays in the regional SA.
Via social media, local MP Tim Whetstone said the region has much to be proud of and these awards are a great opportunity to showcase the Riverland to the rest of the state.
