Corey Wingard, the Minister for Infrastructure and Transport was in the region over the weekend, making a number of announcements and visiting several sites.
The Minister was hosted by local MP Tim Whetstone, with the newly appointed Infrastructure and Transport Minister announcing funds for road projects across the state.
The Minister said “Importantly, the state government is investing record amounts in our regions to fix more than 1,000 kilometres of country roads to help save lives and improve productivity."
The minister went on to say Over the next few years, South Australians will see a lot of road work signs and ask for their patience as these are necessary upgrades.
In total a record over $160 million will be spent on SA roads over the next four years.
