Cross border travel is set to get even tighter for cross border community members.
From 12.01am tomorrow, individuals will only be eligible for Cross Border Community Status if they reside within 40km of the Victorian/South Australian border.
The changes state that travel between SA & Victoria for eligible cross border members is only for Employment or education, Providing or receiving care and support; and Obtaining food, fuel, supplies or medical care.
Under the changes anyone in Victoria who meets the criteria cannot travel more than 40 km into South Australia.
While South Australians travelling into Victoria for approved reasons can only travel up to 40km over the border, otherwise will need to quarantine upon return.
