Member for Barker Tony Pasin has welcomed a funding boost for headspace, the nation’s youth mental health agency.
Mr Pasin said that mental health and suicide prevention remains one of our Government’s highest priorities.
Mr Pasin went on to say “The COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound impact on young Australians,”
In total the local headspace centre in Berri will receive $421, 974 for additional staffing and training to provide additional brief interventions, walk in clinic time and outreach activities.
The local funding forms part on the national investment of $24.2 million.
