A local MP is hoping the rollout of the Bridges Renewal Program and the Heavy Vehicle Safety and Productivity Program can see improves outcomes locally.
Federal Member for Barker, Tony Pasin said the programs presented an opportunity to deliver better and safer bridges and freight roads in Barker.
Mr Pasin went on to say “These two funding rounds have a combined $300 million available to help upgrade and replace damaged or deteriorating bridges and improve key heavy vehicle infrastructure,”
The local MP is encouraging local councils and state governments to apply for funding under the programs before the cut-off date of the 29th of may this year.
