Riverland wine body, Riverland wine has said recent world events could provide an opportunity for the region to break free from its long term 'bulk wine' image.
In a recent update to the local wine community, Riverland wine has said the Riverland was able to continue vintage through the community lockdown period with great care for both workers and wine.
Recently other Australian wine regions unfortunately haven’t fared so well battling drought, bushfires and smoke taint and consequently the Riverland has been relied upon to supply greater volumes of premium wine grapes outside of the region.
The update also noted that with care in winery’s the Riverland’s best wine grapes have magnificent potential for the domestic and export markets.
