The Mid-Murray Council has taken steps to help slow the spread of COVID-19 by closing several council operated buildings.
As of close of business Tuesday this week, public spaces including pools, museums and visitor information centres all closed to the public.
While councils Visitor centres are closed, they remain contactable by phone and email.
Council’s volunteer programs have also been suspended indefinitely in order to protect our valuable volunteers from the risk of exposure to this disease.
Mid Murray Council Chief Executive Officer Ben Scales said senior staff was meeting daily to assess the pandemic situation and any impacts on Council’s core facilities and services.
