The Local Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network has implemented new patient visitor rules at local hospitals in response to covid-19.
From now, only one visitor per patient will be permitted at local hospitals and health sites and must be between 11am and 3pm.
As well all visits must occur in the patient or resident’s room or outdoors where possible.
Visitors must also undergo a health screening including temperature testing and answering a questionnaire prior to entry.
Social distancing must also be practiced when visiting patients, as well as a avoiding all physical contact.
It’s hoped the new regulations are understood and respected in these unprecedented times.
