Newly appointed Federal water Minister, Keith Pitt has wasted no time in exploring the Murray-Darling basin and is currently in the Riverland.

Minister Pitt took the helm of the water portfolio following a ministerial reshuffle that saw the previous minister David Littleprourd return to the Agriculture portfolio.

Mr Pitt said the tour is a part of a southern basin tour and has been in Echuca, Griffith and now Renmark, Minister Pitt also said he has been looking at critical infrstructure and local infrasture through the basin. 

The Queensland based politician is also the minister for Resources and Northern Australia.
