The Riverland’s sole Holden dealership, Rosenthal Automotive says it’s shocked and saddened with the Holden brand’s imminent departure from showroom; however insists it remains business as usual locally.

Holden’s parent company General Motors earlier this week said its global priorities showed it couldn't justify the investment necessary to ensure the brand would flourish.

The local Holden dealership in Berri, Rosenthal Holden has been an icon of the region with Rosenthal’s becoming a Holden dealer in 1948, after commencing operations 111 years ago.  

The local dealership has echoed the words of Holden saying it will support Holden owners with parts and service into the future and remains committed to the Riverland with three other franchises being Mazda, Mitsubishi & Hyundai.

Further details of Holden’s transition out of the market later this year are yet to be released.
