The season of swimming carnivals has continued this week with the running of the Riverland SAPSASA swimming carnival for Riverland primary school students.

In total 164 Riverland swimmers from over 20 schools took park in the event at the Renmark pool - 20 more than last year.

A spokesperson from the event said the day wouldn’t be possible without the dedicated support of local officials, teachers and parents.

Later this week the Riverland team will be selected to compete in March at the Marion Aquatic centre in Adelaide.
