As SAPOL’s operation Riversafe continues police are reminding river users to be safe on the water.
Recently Police detected a 33 yr old jet-ski operator in Paringa riding the jet-ski with a Blood alcohol reading of .059.
As well Two other jet ski operators were issued with fines for operating unlicensed and a number of cautions were given for minor safety equipment breaches.
Police are reminding all boat operators of their obligations as a operator, observer or skier to have a blood alcohol concentration below 0.05, and no drugs in their system.
The operation which started late last year will wrap up next month.
