SUNBURN MYTHS

Cancer council SA

As heat and UV levels continue to soar, latest data from the Cancer Council suggests many people across the Riverland are still making basic mistakes with sun protection.

Nearly 40% of Australian adults who've been sunburnt say it's because they stayed in the sun too long and 1 in 3 say they forgot to use sun protection or didn't think it was required.

CEO of the Cancer Council, Professor Sanchia Aranda, says it's a timely warning for local Riverland residents to get back to the basics.
