Local primary producers are inspecting the damage this morning, following last night’s shock hail storm.
At 5.19pm yesterday the Bureau Of Meteorology issued a severe weather warning for the Riverland, with hail stones falling shortly after.
Reports of hail were received from Monash, Glossop, Berri & Renmark.
It’s understood the hail and extreme wind has caused damage to some Riverland fruit crops, however the full extent may not be known for some time.
Local MFS and SES were kept busy following the hail event, responding to reports of a fallen tree on a carport in Renmark with the tree subsequently falling onto a car.
