The Sturt highway has been identified as a hotspot for insurance claims relating for cars hitting kangaroos.
Last week the RAA released figures that sees a 34% rise in claims this year on the states roads – with the Sturt highway high up the list.
RAA Insurance Claims Manager Hayley Cain warned that the greatest number of kangaroo crash claims occurred in springtime.
Ms Cain also said “Crashing into an animal is an unfortunate and unpleasant experience, but the RAA advise motorists not to brake heavily or swerve as this risks being in a more serious crash,”
