The Riverland Superdogs travelled to Pooraka on Sunday to play Portland.
Pooraka were to play Henley but Henley forfeited at the last moment the three remaining teams played a shortened game of two quarters each against each other.
The Superdogs were in good form, however Portland held on with some solid marks taken in the windy conditions.
Dino Romeo was best for the Dogs with his attack on the ball at centre half back.
Final scores: Riverland 5.6.36 defeating Portland 1.1.7
Having played 2 quarters of football in difficult conditions, the superdogs found the fresh legs of Pooraka too strong.
