Users of the pelican point nudist area near Barmera have turned to the premier of the state to keep their traditional area as the battle with council continues.
The local group have used the same area since 1975 and claim a new area designated to them by the Berri Barmera Council nearby is unusable.
User group spokesperson Garry Cornish told the Murray Pioneer the group had now sought advice from the Premier outlining its dissatisfaction with council dealings.
The news first came to hand in May and the user group claim that council haven’t contacted the group since.
The beach is Australia’s only inland nudist beach.
