Following recent incidents across the state, local farmers are being urged to be safe around power infrastructure when seeding.
SA power networks responded to 3 incidents this week across the state, including one south of Loxton in Paruna, where farm machinery had tangled with power infrastructure.
Paul Roberts, Corporate Affairs Manager for SA Power Networks “Each of these incidents has involved tractors undertaking on-farm work and every one of them had the potential to trigger a tragedy,”
Mr Roberts also said “Getting the crops planted should not be a matter of life or death".
SA Power Networks advise that if equipment comes into contact with powerlines call the hotline immediately on 13 13 66.
