A local MP has backed a liberal party election commitment worth 15 million dollars for a second round of the Murray Darling Basin Economic Development Program.

Member for Barker, Tony Pasin said “We know that nothing can replace a megalitre of water but working with communities we can support activities that make a real difference.

The funding will be open to communities in the electorate of Barker severely impacted by water buybacks.

My Pasin also said “Communities to benefit from the second round would include Mannum, Morgan, Blanchetown and Waikerie,”
