RIVER LEVELS LIKELY THE SAME FOR EASTER

River Murray

Those camping near, or using the River Murray this Easter are reminded that river heights and flows  are likely to remain near the levels experienced in the past couple of weeks.

MDBA Andrew Reynolds Executive Director of River Management  said the releases of water into the Murray River were meeting demand for water throughout the system.

Mr Reynolds also said “Although Easter is not in peak irrigation season this year, the ongoing dry conditions mean that water license holders are continuing to order their water, which has the effect of maintaining river levels,”

The authority also pointed out regardless of the weather, the important thing to remember is that the river might not be the same as the last time you visited.
