The federal government will relocate one third of the Murray Darling Basin Authority's 300 jobs from Canberra to regional towns.
A new Mildura office, as well as opening offices in other regional centres and Adelaide has been announced by the government.
The announcement also offers up a regional engagement officer program to be considered in the Riverland.
The MDBA plans to deliver the government decision in 2021.
Meanwhile the SA Government has appointed Di Davidson as the new Presiding Member of the South Australian Murray-Darling Basin Natural Resources Management Board.
The appointment comes following the retirement of long-standing presiding member Sharon Starick
